Iron Tide
05:37
|
|||
I have walked in the shadowless forge;
tongues of steel glisten in the din.
Awakened powers I summon to my aid;
the lapping of the shoreline in ebon swells...
Lo, the tide bears the crimson walls
as the carrion drifts below.
Beasts of the deep rise and come to feed
on bloated vessels half-dragged ashore.
The wreckage of the mast flows swiftly past
an inanimate suspended feast.
Dorsal fins and savage shredding teeth
paint the canvas of the raging seas.
...Abyssus abyssum invocat...
Iron rained upon us from the heavens...
The choking, blackened dust coated our lungs.
I plunged my blade forth and felt it meet flesh;
billowing blood sprayed upon my face.
In the twilight hues they fell upon us;
Shining steel - bright against the flames.
Not one of us knelt in fear, nor submission.
In silence we bore forth in wrath.
Their blackened blood slaked across the ocean,
ravenous waters drank deeply of their flesh.
Their ships descended to the darkened deep,
and onward we sailed in search of their lands...

Winged One
04:37
|
|||
...And cold grew the stone under the warmth of the sun;
a twilit wind encloaked the final rays of the day.
Across the plain hammered the footfalls of our many foes;
their spectres weeping for the light they'd never know.
Mark my words, this shall all be undone.
Watch the skies - the winged ones come alive.
Unto us, and what we all become:
The winged ones - the end for us begun.
Claws gripped deeply into my shoulders
and the ground grew smaller below me.
Its foul breath slicked down my hair;
warm, crimson streams dripped from my hands.
And world fell away as I was devoured...
Awakening to my own screams
in pitch I laid, their figures above.
My body twitched, my limbs torn from me...
from darkness I was reborn...
My eyes opened wide once more and
a new wave of comprehension flooded my mind.
Reaching the threshold of the rift in which I dwelt,
I spread my winds wide and I took to the sky.
Mark my words: you shall be undone.
Watch the skies: My brethren come alive.
Unto us, the flesh of the weak.
The winged ones descend to set you free...

Astral Fire
05:35
|
|||
A fonte puro pura defluit aqua a fortiori...
Et metiri olim caelo, spolils ego iam metiretur obumbratio...
Brandon animus est, terrenum corpus quiescit...
(I measured the skies, now the shadows I measure...
Skybound was the mind, earthbound the body rests...)
Media nocte mortuus est cogitationis, et sapientia ejus ascendit in vertice sidera...
(This dead of midnight is the noon of thought, and wisdom mounts her zenith with the stars...)

Cold Hyperborea
05:45
|
|||
Titan gates swing wide and out pours lunar swells.
Legions clad in hide and swirled ivory pierce the veil of night.
Winds of primal might pummel the earth and sky.
Hoisting their ebon-bladed weapons forth, the Hyperboreans ride.
Gale-force frosts and shredding, arctic winds cast over the horizon.
A hundred winters past the hearty northmen last upon the backs of primal beasts.
Upon the icy winds rides an ancient foe scaled from tooth to tail.
If the sons of summers should rise again the fiery serpent must fall.
Under the sun silence fills the world...
Great wings unfurl and blot out the skies.
A roar shreds the heavens and extinguishes tranquility.
The furnaces of death awaken set within iron jaws.
Flames blacken mountainsides, the battle has begun...
The first sweep crushed the infantry, leaving only charred remains.
The archers raise their bows and let loose flaming iron rains.
Another sweep brought close the beast as the warchief raised his sword.
Blackened blood set fire the earth as the wyrm raises a final roar.
